Application & Design Engineering
Uncertain about which blade might best fit your application? Lakes Precision can help! Our engineering department has experience with all types of equipment, their capabilities and blade styles. If you have a unique wire or project Lakes Precision will assist in designing a set of tooling to meet your requirements. Wire Sizing Evaluation
We provide wire evaluation to ensure you have the correct blade for your project. Send us a sample of your wire and Lakes Precision Inc. provides a no cost blade recommendation. Fill out the wire sizing evaluation form and send along with your wire sample. Our staff will promptly recommend the tooling best suited for your wire.
Custom Blade Design
With over 25 years of design experience Lakes Precision has created unique tooling for almost every wire imaginable. Do you have a Komax machine but want a Schleuniger blade form we can do it. Need a more durable material, special PVD coatings or blade geometries? It's possible with Lakes Precision Inc. Today our experience goes beyond wire processing and can be applied to the paper, packaging, and hand knife industries. Stocking Programs
Lakes Precision continues to work with customers to streamline blade inventories. We offer blanket purchase orders, consignment inventory or JIT programs such as F.A.S.T. Our staff will assist in evaluating your needs, determine stocking levels and set delivery sequences to reduce the cost associated with excess inventory.
